Sensitive stomach to dairy? Then this one is perfect for you because it's dairy free! Unfortunately, this one isn't gluten free. If gluten is something you are trying to avoid, then this recipe might not be the best option. It has 2 likes across various platforms. This recipe is great if you are on any of dairy free, or lacto ovo vegetarian diets. This one is not a sustainable recipe, so if you are concerned about the environment then maybe this one isn't for you.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sliced apples preferably Jonathan
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla (I increased this from 2 tsps. in original recipe)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350F degrees . In a large bowl, mix together apples, oil, sugar, eggs and walnuts by hand .
  • Mix well then set aside . In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, vanilla and cinnamon .
  • Mix well then add to the apple mixture . The batter will be thick .
  • Pour into ungreased 13x9 baking pan, and bake for one hour or until done .
