German Pancake with Peaches and Buttermilk Syrup

  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, melted

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 6 eggs

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
    Milk, Eggs, Other Dairy
  • 4 peaches, halved and pitted
  • Buttermilk syrup, for serving

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Pour the melted butter in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, flour, salt, and vanilla. Blend until well combined, scraping the sides as needed.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until sides are puffed and golden.
  • Place the peaches cut side up on a baking sheet and lightly brush them with the melted butter.
  • Spread the brown sugar evenly over the peaches then sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes along with the pancake.
  • Serve the pancake warm with sliced peaches and buttermilk syrup on top.
