Yes, it definitely is. That means that if you play the game on your Alexa device with a linked account, then you will also be able to play your same game here!
Does it save my progress?
It works exactly like the Alexa skill, so all of your progress is saved while you play.
By design, the game is designed to save everything on each interaction and plays entirely on a backend server. Your browser actually isn't doing much of anything.
Can I play with people on other devices?
Yes, everything that works on Alexa works here, though most items you can purchase should be done on your linked Alexa Devices.

How to play on Alexa?
Easy! Just say "Alexa, open the dark citadel!"
You "might" get away with just saying Dark Citadel, but you should include the word "the" just in case.
Basically, when the game released it had the word "the" in the launch phrase, and since then Alexa removed the ability to even create launch phrases like this, but they aren't sophisticated enough to actually fix the game after the fact so it is stuck with it.
