Five years after war. Citadel and Church have established formal peace. Magic users allowed to live openly in some regions. New generation being taught true history. Petro working as diplomat between faiths. Hank teaching ethics and control. Martin and Reyna training protective knights.

Dawn vote before the full High Council. Sir Martin presents evidence and testimony proving genocide occurred, both sides caused the Collapse, and defenders showed restraint. Historical documents contradict Church doctrine. Fifteen Councilors vote: eight vote for reforms, seven maintain doctrine.

The evacuation of 200 refugees through hidden tunnels begins. Families say farewell to defenders staying behind to buy time. Petro guides the last group and instructs the twin boys to build something better. Brother Marcus confronts the Church army about the morality of murdering families.

Martin refuses to execute Reyna, is relieved of command. Army begins fracturing - Jonathan and soldiers question orders. NEW: Named soldiers count the doubters in camp, share what they witnessed during assaults, and prepare for the moment when conscience overrides orders. Anna wakes from injury.
