Thomas descends the basement stairs methodically, using EMT training to assess threats. The construction shifts from Victorian to ancient rough-cut blocks - Harrow built on top of something older. Walls sweat a blood-like liquid. Mirrored footsteps track him two steps behind.

Thomas returns to the music room and meets Violet, who shares her story. When he sits at the piano, memories of Sarah singing on long shifts surface. He plays clumsy notes for Violet, giving her a moment of peace, then learns about the Heart that must be destroyed to free the trapped souls.

Thomas enters the desecrated chapel where the transformation ritual began seven hundred years ago. He encounters an eternally looping priest who endlessly delivers a warning too late to prevent the curse.

Thomas studies seven massive stained glass windows chronicling King Aldrics reign. Windows show propaganda but flickering light reveals truth: Eleanors fear, Elises suffocating performance, Aldrics transformation from grief to obsession, knights confusion, incomplete ritual failure.

Thomas enters King Aldrics private chamber where the king removed his mask. The bed remains unmade from the night of the ritual with dried tears. He finds dozens of letters to Elise and an unfinished letter to Eleanor revealing plans to transform her too.

Thomas explores the manor first floor: foyer with breathing door, dining hall sandwich trap, tar portal testing, hidden study with newspaper clippings (100+ victims), experimental ledger, ham radio with four channels, and property map showing underground complex.

Thomas discovers hidden study, meets Harrow's grief-ghost, reads journals spanning 1952-1987. After the butler fight, the real Harrow manifests—not the weeping residue but the controlling intelligence.
