Abigail searched the area surrounding the old mining town, and it didn’t take her long to find what she was looking for: a hidden entrance at the top of a waterfall leading underground. It was covered by a number of huge stones, and it took them a good thirty minutes to clear the area.
Haatim awakens after the battle with Belphegor. Abigail contacts Frieda to cancel the strike and report success. Haatim learns that his spiritual knowledge and prayers now have real power against evil.
Abigail confronts Belphegor in the factory. The demon offers to return Arthur alive in exchange for retrieving a hidden knife from the mine tunnels. Abigail refuses the deal to preserve Arthur's ideals. The demon attacks with devastating telekinetic power, hurling machinery and tools.
Abigail hunts Belphegor through town. She sends Haatim away in a hot-wired car. She tracks the demon to a motel where Desiree (Bret's mother, driven insane) reveals Bret was taken to the factory.
Haatim calls his father Aram directly, leveraging his own presence in the city to delay the airstrike. Aram confirms his involvement with the Council. Frieda grants Abigail one hour to stop Belphegor, warning of consequences.
Abigail and Haatim are ambushed by townsfolk driven mad by Belphegor. Gunfight through Raven's Peak streets. They take cover in a FedEx building and fight off attackers. Frieda calls to warn: the Council has declared Raven's Peak a dead zone - napalm strike in 2 hours, disguised as forest fire.
Abigail reflects on her strained relationship with Frieda and the Council post-possession. Next morning, they track the missing college student (Kurt) to the old mining town Church. Kurt has gouged out his own eyes and is writing Belphegor on the wall in blood.
Abigail and Haatim arrive at campground after dark. Owl Cabin unresponsive—Abigail discovers five brutally murdered bodies inside with organs removed. Sixth person missing. They secure Hawk Cabin for night. Haatim struggles with trauma but commits to investigation.
