The Long Dark

Six months after Aurora, Wilson and Emily establish themselves in Fort Resolution, Canada, posing as climate researchers studying Great Slave Lake. They discover James Wright has been surveilling the community and preparing to hunt.

Five months after Aurora, Wilson and Emily conduct a successful hunt with Ingrid of a mated vampire pair feeding in Bergen warehouse basement. They operate with trained efficiency and precision now. They rescue a drained but alive victim.

Three months after Aurora, Wilson and Emily train outside Tromsø, Norway with crossbows and stakes. They meet Ingrid Larsen, an experienced vampire hunter who knew Kira. Ingrid tests their commitment and confirms Kira is dead. She reveals twelve confirmed vampires operating in northern Norway.

Two weeks after Aurora, Wilson and Emily examine Kira notebook in a Yellowknife hotel paid for by government settlement. They contact other survivors including Marcus, Antoine, and Rebecca. They discuss reaching out to Kira vampire hunting contacts across Norway, Scotland, and Alaska.

Wilson and Emily recover in Yellowknife hospital from severe hypothermia and frostbite following Aurora evacuation. Government representatives attempt to cover up the vampire attack as equipment failure.

The remaining survivors walk twenty kilometers through subfreezing conditions toward the depot. Their clothing offers minimal protection. As hypothermia sets in, survivors fall one by one. A middle-aged man stops walking and sits to die in the snow. Another woman collapses from heart failure.

The truck carries twenty survivors through the access tunnel toward escape. James and Samantha cling to the trailer roof, tearing through panels. Samantha breaches and feeds on Dr. Soto. Antoine uses the flamethrower to burn Samantha inside the trailer.

The extraction team reaches the garage. Marcus starts the truck—engine runs. But the lights go out. James Wright, Helena Fischer, and Samantha Torres appear with makeshift torches. They block the exit. Kira charges Helena, sacrificing herself to create an escape window. Helena and Kira duel.

The six-person extraction team descends into B2 maintenance corridors through a floor hatch. They navigate narrow passages toward Gamma Building garage. They encounter a sealed passage—vampires have been blocking routes. They find three drained bodies in an equipment room.
