The Long Dark

Day eight of the siege. Kira trains the extraction team (Wilson, Emily, Marcus, Antoine, Rebecca) in combat tactics using UV lights, stakes, and crossbows. She forces them to drill until exhaustion. Wilson and Dr. Soto have a tense conversation about the morality of the escape plan.

Survivors establish daily routine. Marcus proposes escaping via a truck from Gamma Building. The core group (Wilson, Emily, Kira, Marcus, Antoine, Rebecca) forms an extraction team to retrieve the vehicle in three days. Fifteen defenders will hold Alpha-8.

Vampires launch coordinated assault with chemical smoke and cut power. Paul Martinez breaches the door; Jennifer and Daniel are killed before Kira stakes Paul through the heart. James Wright appears, congratulates them on killing Paul, and reveals his plan for prolonged torture.

Wilson mobilizes 200 hunters and soldiers for a grid search driving James to Rycon Mine. UV fog forces James from the tunnels; he emerges smoking and wounded but drains two hunters to heal. With both arms broken Wilson picks up a stake in his teeth and drives it through James heart from behind.

James heals from near-fatal wounds in an abandoned Yellowknife house, reflecting on centuries of existential weariness. He turns five new vampires in the catacombs under St Patricks church while broadcasting a false radio challenge.

David Chen is found dead with bite marks on his neck. Wilson discovers Kira organizing resistance. An anonymous warning arrives: 72-hour attack timeline. Samantha Torres confronts them.
