The Nexus Chronicles

The party travels north to Oldstone Abbey. Dispatches reveal the queen left pre-arrest sabotage orders. Gregory and Abigail discuss her past with Bryce by the fire. Bryce joins them; Gregory withdraws to let them talk privately.

The group plans their expedition to Oldstone Abbey in the palace war room. Captain Marcus Thorne, commander of the Rangers and Abigail's estranged father, arrives to offer support, creating unresolved tension. Bryce reveals he can sense the nexus points and feels something aware at Oldstone.

Bryce faces imprisonment. The chapter also involves throne room events.

Gregory wakes in a cabin tended by a mysterious woman. After banter, he asks for Abigail Thorn. Recognition dawns - he sees the woman from Bryce's fireside stories. When he shows the falcon token and tells her Bryce is alive, Abigail's carefully maintained composure cracks.
