After a catastrophic failed assault on Belphegors infrastructure - Petrillo wounded, Dominick cut, the team outmaneuvered by coordinated demon-vampire tactics - Arthur proposes a suicide mission using his seal resonance. Abigail objects. Dominick challenges Arthurs sacrifice pattern on the rooftop.

Emma, watching the battlefield from the evacuation loading dock, identifies the pattern in Belphegor's behavior: he maintains a minimum thirty-yard distance because close-range combat endangers his vessel.

Belphegor identifies love as the lever. Targets Haatim with a coordinated demon attack to force Abigail into using her golden-eyed power. She saves him but realizes the trap: every time she uses the corruption to protect the people she loves, it advances.

Abigail, suspended in a golden surge of corruption above the refugee camp, must choose between surrendering to the power or watching Belphegor slaughter civilians.

Emma analyzes battle data and discovers Belphegor has been running a controlled experiment across all prior engagements to map Abigail's corruption threshold with scientific precision.
