Arthur and Abigail begin their new life in Vermont. Arthur heals from injuries while Abigail processes trauma through nightmares. He begins her training systematically: physical fitness, combat techniques, supernatural knowledge. Abigail psychic abilities manifest through meditation.

Abigail and Haatim arrive at campground after dark. Owl Cabin unresponsive—Abigail discovers five brutally murdered bodies inside with organs removed. Sixth person missing. They secure Hawk Cabin for night. Haatim struggles with trauma but commits to investigation.

Arthur and his team assault the ritual chamber where the cult holds Abigail. The chamber has impossible geometry with nine walls designed to open a gateway. The demon Mal akheth is fully merged with the Hierophant host. Arthur fights recklessly, accepting wounds to gain positioning.

Abigail and Haatim drive toward Raven's Peak. Abigail reveals Council of Chaldea and Hunter organization, explaining Haatim's father's hidden role. They stop in dying coal town for information. At bar, Abigail overhears college kids at campground, strange woods activity, ghost town ruins.

Arthur retreats into the forest before the final assault on the Vangeest estate to process his grief and prepare mentally. He reflects on memories of Eleanor and Grace, his first kill as a young Hunter, and his father Joseph suicide.

Interlude split into two parallel narratives. Bret discovers abandoned original Raven's Peak town in forest, enters old church showing violence signs, awakens entity. Fleeing to mining tunnels, he encounters supernatural presence that possesses him.

Abigail prepares for her first independent mission as a Hunter, ten years after escaping the cult. Arthur worries but recognizes her readiness. She departs to handle a Class Three demon. Arthur reflects on their journey from her rescue to her transformation into a capable operative.

Abigail and Haatim locate Sara, a child marked by Arthur's supernatural binding. Using a hypnotic crystal, Abigail bridges the supernatural connection to Sara, attempting to find Arthur's location. The connection attacks with overwhelming force, nearly killing Abigail.
