Abigail's consciousness separates from her possessed body during Surgat's merge. She finds herself in a spiritual realm—an abandoned manor where she was originally captured. Arthur's memory-form appears and explains that Surgat's true name is the only weapon against it.

After the battle's chaos, Abigail escapes as a demon-possessed entity. The team regroups at the church ruins. Haatim and Dominick confront Frieda about poisoning Abigail. Frieda reveals she's known since Abigail was a child that she was Surgat's intended vessel.

Haatim mentally constructs psychic barriers to separate the demon from Nida's body. Abigail battles Surgat internally as possession deepens. Frieda, believing it hopeless, injects poison into Abigail's neck to stop Surgat's ascension. Abigail and demon both begin dying.

Battle erupts throughout Raven's Peak. Haatim pursues one demon while Frieda uses blessed salt ammunition to damage it. Dominick discovers the demons' eyes are vulnerable and shoots one blind. Frieda injects her prepared poison; the first demon disintegrates.

The team infiltrates the church where Nida performs a ritual summoning Surgat. Dominick and Abigail position on the roof while Haatim confronts Nida at the entrance. Two demonic creatures guard cultists performing a blood ritual.

The team approaches the old church ruins where Nida will perform the ritual. They finalize their strategy: Haatim will attempt to distract Nida while Dominick and Abigail destroy the ritual components, specifically targeting the blood Nida has collected. Frieda will stand ready to intervene.

The team drives through the evacuated ghost town of Raven's Peak, observing its decay months after evacuation. Haatim remains emotionally convinced that Nida can be saved despite Abigail's warnings that the demon has consumed her.

Abigail reveals to Mitchell the full scope of her burden: she carries part of Surgat within her own body, a side effect of the incomplete childhood ritual.

Abigail confronts Frieda about the hidden truth: she is the intended vessel for Surgat's final resurrection. Frieda reveals the entire backstory—The Ninth Circle performed the incomplete ritual on child-Abigail, and Arthur interrupted it.
