World on Fire

Haatim and Abigail arrive at the campgrounds at night. They discover 5 dead college students murdered in Owl Cabin with hesitation wounds from a short serrated knife. The 6th student (Kurt) is missing. They stay in Hawk Cabin (vacated by Desiree and Bret).

Haatim and Abigail drive from Colorado to Raven's Peak, Tennessee. Abigail reveals her backstory and the Council to Haatim during the journey. They arrive late at night and scout the town - Abigail visits a local bar while Haatim shops at Aunt Jane's store.

Interlude introducing new characters: 12-year-old Bret explores the old Raven's Peak mining town ruins and is possessed by a demon (Belphegor) in the tunnels. At Owl Cabin, the possessed Bret manipulates college student Kurt into murdering his friends Becky and drugging the others.

Haatim distracts Sara's parents while Abigail bridges the connection. The experience devastates Abigail physically. They drive toward Raven's Peak. Abigail tells Haatim about the Council of Chaldea, the Hunters (Ordo Daemonium Venator), her possession, and Arthur being taken to hell.

Interlude chapter providing different perspective or flashback. May show cult operations, demon activities, or background on the conspiracy. Builds tension before major confrontation.

Abigail lies to Frieda about her location while heading to Colorado instead of Raven's Peak. At a playground, they find Sara, one of the three girls from the Church. Abigail performs a forbidden bridging ritual to connect to the demon holding Arthur through Sara's claiming scar.

Abigail captures Delaphene and brings her to the car. They head toward Arthur's cabin in the Colorado mountains. Haatim processes his sister Nida's death from cancer. Abigail interrogates Delaphene who reveals Aram had a deal with Abaddon and an unknown woman was asking about Arthur.

The fake hospital is revealed as a warehouse. Abigail rescues Haatim, fighting the demon doctor (Christoph). Delaphene (the nurse demon) escapes briefly but Abigail captures her after a rooftop chase. Haatim confirms his father is Aram Malhotra.

Haatim wakes in a fake hospital (Ninth Circle trap). The doctor and nurse (Delaphene) try to get him to eat, drink, and make deals. The mark on his arm disappears after the poison takes effect. Separately, Frieda and Aram discuss the situation - revealing Haatim is Aram's son.
