Ken

Antagonist — World at War

Eddie's partner in the hunt for Elianna. Two demons, one target, and a journalist who has no idea he's become useful to the wrong people.

About Ken

Ken operates alongside Eddie as part of the vampire-demon alliance's effort to find and eliminate members of The Faithful. Their target is Elianna — and the method is surveillance of Matthew Colbert, a journalist whose connection to Elianna makes him a useful navigation tool.

The partnership between Ken and Eddie reflects something interesting about how the alliance operates: not as a horde of individual demons all moving independently, but as coordinated units with specific assignments. Ken and Eddie aren't competing for the same prize — they're running a joint operation, which makes them more effective and more dangerous.

Stalking someone through alleys at night, watching their patterns, deciding when to shift from passive surveillance to active manipulation — that's Ken's operational reality in Raven's War. It's patient, unglamorous demon work. The kind that sets up the more dramatic confrontations elsewhere in the book.

Personality

Core Traits: Strategic and focused, like Eddie. The demon partnership between Ken and Eddie has the quality of something practiced — two entities who've learned to work together rather than around each other.

Physical Presence: Possessing a human body in the streets and alleys of a city that doesn't know the supernatural war being fought inside it.

Character Arc

Ken's arc in the series is connected to the larger question of how the vampire-demon alliance hunts The Faithful — and what happens when that hunt intersects with people who are protecting them.

The surveillance operation, the journalist as unwitting guide, and the escalation to active bait — Ken and Eddie's plot thread is one of several converging lines in a book built on collision.
